Speed River Xtreme Team is our youth oriented track and field program. The focus is on creating healthy and active lifestyles in youth through emphasizes of fun and participation through active workouts and games.
Each year there are two seasons of Xtreme Team, one in the fall and one in the spring.
The fall season, we will work on the basic skills of cross country, strength, flexibility, speed and proper running form. It is our primary goal to insure that all participants finish the season with a passionate enthusiasm for athletics!
The spring season focuses on all the events of track and field and culminates in the mini-Olympics. Athletes will have the opportunity to try high jump, long jump, hurdles, sprints, discus, shot put, javelin, middle distance and relays.
